ME-YOU TO US
In the Sikh philosophy the self-defeating cycle of joy and sorrow is created by a world view which is self-focused. Such a person is unable to feel joy in other's success, or sorrow in other's tragedies. As the human being broadens his/her sense of self and becomes Universal, Bliss follows.

The Sikh Faith
Ik ONkar: Behind all of these seemingly diverse phenomena, conflicts, dualities, changing scenarios there is One Creator. All is His form.

Sat Nam: God is Truth. This Truth is unchanging even though its manifestation is seemingly changing. Truth is beyond time and space.

Karta Purukh: The Creator is One and all that we observe is His Creation. All that occurs is according to His will.

Nir Bhau: He alone is unconfined by Laws. Creation operates according to His laws.

Nir Vair: He is without prejudices. His laws apply equally to his entire Creation.

Akal Murat: Beyond time.

Ajooni Saibhang: Beyond the cycles of transmigration; Self-Illuminated.

Gur Parsad: He is felt through grace. The Guru provides guidance to this path of grace.

State of Grace: The apparent never-ending fight between good and evil (God and Devil according
to some myths) and the seemingly never-ending cycle of joy-sorrow are all clarified to the person in Grace. This person's sense of self includes the entire Creation. He/she is not attached to a caste, to a race, to a skin color, to a gender, nor to a geographical origin. The person in Grace has traveledthe path from Me (self-centered), My Property (landlord), My Family (arrogance of family name and caste), My Race (belief in racial superiority), My Country (patriot), and My Religion (religious without being spiritual): He/she is Universal, with love towards all, in acceptance of His laws.
